As soon as you walk into this calm, cool, and collected office space you feel a departure from the typical San Diegan design aesthetic, and that is exactly what the client wanted.
An impressive iron and glass wall and barn-style sliding door greet you as you enter the building. Green and blue tones in the glass serve a dual purpose as they block light and mottle vision yet also tie in the colors of the exterior landscape. Cool jewel tones accent the space and tone down some of the warmer tans and browns used in the furniture.
Large black and white prints of buildings are an ode to the client’s love of architecture from his hometown in Michigan. The winter scenes and monochrome photography add to the cool yet serene vibe. More iron and glass sliding doors divide the offices from the hallway, continuing the east coast loft style and creating a cohesive design.
